The Biblical Studies portion of TFM will begin its first course on the first Sunday of April and will run for 8 weeks. The classroom portion will be taught on Sunday afternoons from 3:00 – 4:30.
The Biblical Studies courses are taught by Pastor Summers and Bro. Steven Wireman. Occasionally, there will be lessons/courses taught by guest preachers and missionaries. The weekly lessons will be taught on Sunday afternoons between morning and evening services. There will be time for the students to go eat lunch (or eat a lunch that was brought with them) and then return to the church for classes.
There will be times when it is not possible to hold classes on Sunday due to holidays, special church events, or inclement weather. On these days, the classes will be recorded ahead of time. The videos will be made available to the students for viewing on the TFM website. On the TFM website, the students will also able to find the student worksheets, as well as, class and course schedules. There is also a contact form on the website that will allow the students to ask questions about any of the TFM classes and material.
Should the participants have any trouble accessing the website, questions about the material covered in the lesson, or need further instruction, they will be able to reach Pastor Summers and Bro. Wireman for help by phone or email at any time.
For most people, Sundays are very busy days. It is with this in mind that effort has been made to design the Biblical Studies courses in such a way that families will be inconvenienced as little as possible. However, we also believe that it is beneficial for the students to be committed to TFM on a weekly basis.
The Biblical Studies portion of TFM is not just for teenagers and young adults, anyone that wishes to study the Word of God in depth and systematically is invited to participate in the Biblical Studies courses. We do not believe that only preachers and missionaries should be studying God’s Word. According to scripture, it is the responsibility of every Christian to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”, 2 Timothy 2:15. If you are interested in participating in the Biblical Studies courses, please let Pastor Summers or Bro. Wireman know.
As part of the Biblical Studies portion of TFM, the students will be required to memorize scripture. The lists of scriptures will be given to the students at the beginning of each course. We firmly believe that committing the Word of God to both the heart and mind is crucial for someone to serve the Lord in any capacity.
The first TFM Biblical Studies course will be Baptist Distinctives. This will be an 8-week class that Pastor Summers and Bro. Wireman will alternate weeks teaching.
